If it seems too good to be true...

...it absolutely is. There's no "probably" about it.
We THOUGHT that we had finally succeeded this weekend - we had FINALLY saved our house from that pesky human infestation that has been bothering us for nearly 4 years now. Little did we know, it was only a temporary reprieve and they would soon return - all of them - even that miniature one. All of the humans left this weekend. Sarah and Ryan went to some party called Chilifest, and that little one went and stayed with someone called Grammie. We were absolutely thrilled that we could finally have some peace and quiet around here, it was just too bad that it was so short-lived.
The little fella got sick last week. He had his first fever ever. Sarah realized on Thursday afternoon that he felt pretty warm, so she took his temperature...rectally. YIKES! We can definitely feel Parker's pain on this one, since every time they drag us to our doctor he sticks that little rod somewhere that it shouldn't be and it is oh so uncomfortable! We think the whole situation was probably more uncomfortable for Sarah than it was for Parker. She learned that if you have to take a baby's temperature rectally, you should wait until AFTER that baby has just made a poopy diaper. She ended up with projectile poop all over her hand, and realized that putting that thermometer in Parker's pooper was like supplying the spark to a loaded cannon - STAND CLEAR EVERYONE! Anyway, Parker's temperature was 100.6 so he got to go see Dr. Jatzlau on Friday. She said that he had something called a sinus infection so she gave him some medicine to take for 10 days. We are pretty sure he is already feeling better, because he's not screaming nearly as often or nearly as loud as he was when he didn't feel good.
That small human turned 3 months old last week. We don't see what all the hooplah is about though - we turn 6 years old this month and no one is making a big deal out of that. But we are old news now. Anyway, every month Sarah and Ryan take a picture of Parker with this ridiculously huge monkey to show how he has grown. Here's this month's, along side of the one from one month and two months.

We are throwing in this extra picture of that small person because we think it is funny. Not sure what that face is all about - perhaps he is having flashbacks of the temperature taking...

Until next time...
