Here to Stay

Well, things sure have changed around here in the past few months. We are no longer the center of attention in our house...mom and dad brought home this interesting little fella 3 months ago and they haven't sent him packing yet. We are pretty sure he is a miniature human, and the folks keep calling him Parker, so we guess that's his name. Sometimes they call him "baby" or "Parkie Poo" or even "P.P." (the man human, Ryan, uses that one...we think it is ridiculous). Anyway, that little fella sure does make a lot of noise. We will be sleeping oh so soundly when all of a sudden out of nowhere we are awakened by this horrible noise. It doesn't sound like a meow, hiss, or a growl, and the grown ups have called it "crying", so we guess maybe that's what it is. But within a few minutes Sarah and Ryan have it under control and it's right back to sleep for us (and sometimes for them too, at nighttime at least). When the grown up humans leave our house, they always take that little person with them, so we get to FINALLY enjoy some peace and quiet and catch up on our much needed and well-deserved 20.5 hours of daily slumber.

The humans were gone a lot this past weekend. We heard them talking a lot about Parker's baptism, whatever that means. Apparently they get someone called a pastor to say some words and pour some water on the baby's head ON PURPOSE! WHY ANYONE WOULD WANT WATER DUMPED ON THEIR HEAD ON PURPOSE IS BEYOND US! Those humans can sometimes be a foolish breed, but they think this baptism thing is pretty important, so we are ok with it. We heard that Parker screamed when the water was poured over his head - now THAT we can relate to! Here are a couple of pictures from the occasion...

Well, we are way past our bedtime and we MUST have our beauty sleep, so look for more from us soon. For now, keep on keepin on.
